The SW: TOR trailers would be a solid example of hybrid between emotion and combat. I truly think you can have both, we just haven't seen it in action yet in a live action film. Thus you're detached from the whole fight before it even begins. The problem with the prequels is that you largely know what's going to happen already, and its hard to care about the characters because they're poorly written and don't have much of an arc. Just imagine how awesome that fight would have been if you gave a rat's ass about Qui-gon. When he comes out of the gate its intense and he has purpose, the fight doesn't drag on and it remains visceral through out, and although it ended poorly, the first 30-40 seconds of that fight was the best lightsaber action in the entire series imo. I hate when people imply there cannot be danger or weight behind the 'dance' fights, I disagree and I'd turn to the Darth Maul vs Obi-Wan fight at the end of Episode 1 for an example. I want to see trained Jedi in action with acrobatic combat but I want there to be danger, weight and meaning behind the fights. I want the showy, awesome lightsaber fights, mind you to a level down from Episode 3's lightsaber rope fights. Kylo Ren uses the Force to scatter more defenders before swinging his lightsaber.This is exactly what I hope is happening. The Knights of Ren and stormtroopers advance with the support of First Order walkers, cutting down more Resistance rebels.
Kylo Ren personally cuts down several Resistance soldiers with his lightsaber. The video then cuts to Kylo Ren leading his Knights of Ren into combat. His stormtroopers advanced on entrenched Resistance soldiers, wiping them out with firepower. Kylo Ren flies his TIE/wi modified interceptor in formation with two TIE/fo space superiority fighters over a desert world. The video then cuts to Ren leading his troops down a corridor as the narrator explains that in a galaxy of adventures, Kylo Ren and his First Order strike fear throughout the galaxy. The video begins with Supreme Leader Kylo Ren inspecting his First Order stormtroopers aboard the hangar of a Star Destroyer.
